I am currently teaching MYP sciences and IBDP physics at a school in Dubai. I have a strong focus on the use of TechEd for the improvement of classroom teaching and I believe that through working together with modern learning theories we can create learning environments that finally cater to all students.
I believe that the core component of learning is questioning. Questioning allows us to discover the gaps in our knowledge that allow our education to be tailored. With this in mind, I recognize a distinct gap in the availability of question-answer style resources and simple content delivery.
My professional goal is to create a system that interlaces assessment targets, learning objectives and content material so well that assessment data is able to identify the exact learning objectives that each student requires help with, and systematically delivers tailored content to the student. Time saved in this system can then be better spent on project based inquiry tasks as I believe that it is conceptual and experiential learning that develops real mastery of skills and learning objectives.
